Shades of Sorbet

Let’s get our spring on!  The shades of the sorbet rainbow are too fun to keep in our closets.  When the sun starts to make its appearance, we go straight for these “breath of fresh air” colors to get happy-hour ready.

Bring a brightness to your feet, now that they’re out of hibernation.  These blush heels hit the mark for a sexy, confident shoe to match with any number of spring and summer dresses.  Oh, but what if they don’t match anything, you fret?  You’ll find numerous outfits to pair them with, and at this time in your life you know as well as we do that you should definitely not be playing it safe with shoe colors.

Cocktail for this Vibe: Purple Haze

●     1.5 ounces vodka

●     .5 ounce raspberry cranberry liqueur

●     Cranberry juice

Heading for Capri

Yes, we’re going to share our best warm weather secret with you.  Spring and summer are calling, no, crying for you to get your choice of light pink tank top.  Even at your most casual, you’ll feel like you’re doing life a solid by wearing such a cheerful color.

Cocktail for this Vibe: The Pink Fizz

Muddle syrup, mint and wine together, then add other ingredients.

●      3 tsp. simple syrup

●      12 fresh mint leaves

●      3 ounces fresh lime juice

●      Crushed ice

●      8 ounces vodka

●      Cranberry juice

●      Champagne or sparkling wine

Nothing is a better fit for juicy, fruity colors than an accessory tasked with perking up your outfit.  Wear it when you’re feeling lively and ready to make new friends with a come-hither smile.  Have you ever been to a barbecueand been dazzled by someone’s mesmerizing statement necklace?  That’s the potential you hold in selecting your jewelry.  Don’t blow it, now.  I mean, don’t put too much pressure on yourself, but don’t blow it either.

Muddle leaves and sugar, fill cup ¾ way with ice, mix in other ingredients.

●     10 mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish

●     1 1/2 teaspoons superfine sugar

●     Seltzer water

●     Crushed ice

●     2 1/2 ounces Kentucky bourbon whiskey

●     1 1/2 ounces Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum

●     3/4 ounce homemade banana syrup (1:1:1 ratio of banana, sugar, water, pureed)

●     3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

●     Dash of Angostura bitters

●     Caramelized banana dust for rim

●     ¼ cup orange juice

●     ¾ cup champagne

Take it to the Limit

Just when you thought you’ve exhausted your pastel collection, you’ll come across another item that fits your spring palette.  A clutch, a sun hat, a canvas bag.  Hmmm, it might be time to increase our fashion budget.
